Activities & Programs
We are not currently taking any space reservations while we are building a new ECC building. You can find more details here.
ECC Nutrition Program

- Weekend Food Bags: Shelf-stable foods sent home with students at Schenk Elementary and Whitehorse Middle School on a weekly basis.
- Healthy Snack Pantry: located in Schenk Elementary
- Mobile Food Pantry: monthly at Whitehorse Middle School. Our program has expanded to include culturally responsive, organic produce from Lansing St. Veggies.
This critical program will continue during construction. The new Eastmorland Community Center building will include a market-style pantry.
School Support Programs
Common Grace participates in Madison Public Schools Foundation’s Adopt-a-School program to partner with Schenk Elementary School and support the school with volunteers, financial support and resources to supplement school programs. This ongoing relationship between ‘next door’ neighbors – the school and the community center property – has fostered a strong neighborhood connection. Continued partnership to increase opportunities for the neighborhood schools will be an ongoing priority for the Eastmorland Community Center.
Wisconsin Food Forest

Located on the terrace along Ogden St. Planting of pollinator plants began during the summer of 2022 with more to come as we develop our Food Forest. We are looking forward to exciting new developments to our glean-able landscaping. Stay tuned for details!
Community Events
We look forward to resuming onsite events in late 2026.
In the meantime we will host some community favorites, like Tunes on the Triangle and our Free Community Thanksgiving Meal, at other locations around the community.

Thank you to all the many groups that have made the Eastmorland Community Center your home!
We look forward to seeing everyone back and more in late 2026.
